Semni Persians
Where Temperament and Beauty Reign Supreme
Semni Persians Wish You All A Very Merry Christmas
Hello and Welcome to our site! Our names are Louise and Kevin and we are from the idyllic village of New Marske. We are a GCCF registered; PKD negative cattery. Semni, our prefix, is Egyptian and means to to establish oneself. When deciding on a prefix we thought long and hard about it. We were delighted when the GCCF chose Semni out of our options as we are very focused on showing and "establishing" ourselves We are not a commercial cattery and we do not breed to sell kittens, We breed to continue and improve the lines and we are under no obligation to sell to just anyone that contacts us. We do have a stud house and our red boy spends 50% of his time outdoors, and the rest indoors. We have nothing against catteries but we prefer our cats to be indoors with us 24/7 . One of the first things prospective kitten owners notice is we have cats all over, upstairs downstairs there are no "cat rooms" in our house, this is their home. Naturally we cannot keep every kitten that our cattery produces, as much as we would love to, and therefore kittens are available to loving pet homes. We do sell kittens on the active register to the right breeders for the right reasons. I don't sell to kitten farmers or to homes where my kittens will be locked in a shed and used as a breeding machine. Any cats on the active register will be "show quality" and I would expect the breeder to show them. Our breeding program is devoted to persians with a wonderful type, coats and temperament, We have decided to concentrate on Mackeral Patterned Red Persians and Tortoiseshells going forward. Breeding and showing persian cats is a wonderfull hobby but is also extremely time consuming to say the least and expensive. My cats get only the very best and I expect the same treatment from their future homes. I would like to thank the wonderful breeders who have entrusted their cats to us, you all know who you are. We would like to thank our very dear friends Ian Morris and Jonathan Rewcastle from the Heathrose Cattery for their continuing support. The time and support they have both given us has been priceless. Also we would like to Thank Andrew Lane from http://www.alanephotographic.co.uk/ For the beautiful professional photos on our site
